Gynecology and Annual Exams in Miami
An annual gynecology exam is a routine visit to check your reproductive health, catch problems early and get answers to your questions. At Advanced Woman’s Care it is also a chance to review your birth control and any screening you are due for.
What an annual exam can include
- A conversation about your health, your periods, your sexual health and any symptoms.
- A breast exam and a pelvic exam, if you need them.
- A Pap smear, when you are due for one.
- Birth control advice, and appointments for an IUD, implant or shot.
- A pregnancy test, if you need one.
When to come in sooner
- Bleeding between periods or after sex.
- Pelvic pain that does not go away.
- Unusual discharge, itching or odor.
- A missed period or a positive pregnancy test.
